Kuwait Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah held a formal credential presentation ceremony on Tuesday at Bayan Palace, where he received five newly appointed ambassadors to Kuwait.
The diplomatic event marked the official start of duties for ambassadors from various nations. Among those presenting their credentials were Ambassador Ulrich Frank from Austria, Ambassador Carlos Enrique Tomas Jimenez Gil-Fortoul representing Peru, and Ambassador Alain Perez Torres from Cuba.
Additionally, Japan's new Ambassador Mokai Kenchiro and Lesotho's Ambassador Manthabiseng Phohleli also presented their diplomatic papers to the Amir during the ceremony.
The credential presentation ceremony, a traditional diplomatic protocol, symbolizes the formal recognition of these diplomats as their respective countries' official representatives to Kuwait. It also marks the beginning of their diplomatic missions in the Gulf nation.
